WoW Dragonflight Mythic+ Affix Guide Season 1

In this guide, we have covered all of the Mythic+ Affixes that will be in Dragonflight throughout the seasons.

Fortified and Tyrannical:

Each week of mythic+ will either have Fortified or Tyrannical.

Fortified means that the non-boss enemies will have 20% more health and inflict up to 30% increased damage. This means that it will take longer to clear trash and be aware on how many packs you are pulling at a time, as a tank you may need to pull less depending on the mobs.

Tyrannical weeks mean that the bosses have 30% more health, the boss and their minions will also inflict up to 15% increased damage. It will be faster to clear trash, you could try to do bigger pulls this way. For tanks and healers it may be worth saving mitigation cooldowns for the boss and any tank buster, heavy attacks and dots they may do.

Thundering:

Thundering is the new affix that has come with Dragonflight. While in combat, players are periodically overcharged with primal power. All players will either have a positive or negative charge, to dispel them you will need to run into a player with the opposite charge to yourself. This will give you a buff until this is dispelled, however, if this is not dispelled, all players will a remaining charge will be stunned. Enemies will also have 5% more health.

Raging:

Raging is an affix that will enrage non-boss enemies when they hit 30% health. They will begin to deal 50% increased damage until they have been defeated.

Quaking:

During the dungeon instance, all players will periodically emit a shockwave which will inflict damage and interrupt nearby party members.

Bursting:

Bursting is more of a healing check for healers. When non-boss enemies are defeated, they explode and cause damage to all players and apply a dot that lasts 4 seconds and stacks.

Grievous:

Grievous is an affix that is a healing check for healers. Any player that is below 100% health will suffer damage over time, this can only be stopped when the player is back up to 100%.

Sanguine:

Sanguine is mainly a mechanic for tanks and their positioning of non-boss enemies. When defeating non-boss enemies they will leave a puddle on the ground that will heal other enemies in the dungeon and damage party members. So as the tank pulls the trash packs they need to be aware of these puddles and constantly be moving the enemies out of the puddles.

Volcanic:

While in combat, enemies will periodically cause gouts of flame to erupt and will spawn a small eruption beneath the feet of players. Players will need to sidestep this to avoid taking fire damage, which will do 20% of their maximum health and knock them into the air.

Storming:

Storming is something to be aware of by all players during the instance. While in combat, enemies will periodically summon whirlwinds that will damage players and knock them into the air, this can be dodged and sidestepped.

Spiteful:

Spiteful is an affix that needs to be looked out for by all players. When killing non-boss enemies, fiends will rise from their corpses and target party members, these cannot be taunted and will do a lot of damage to the players that they target.

Explosive:

The explosive affix will have enemies that will periodically summon explosive orbs that will detonate and will cause area-wide damage. Players must destroy the orbs before they explode to avoid this damage.

Bolstering:

During bolstering weeks, whenever a non-boss enemy dies, it will release a death cry which will empower nearby non-boss enemies and temporarily increase their maximum health by 15% and damage by 20%.
