WoW Dragonflight Healer Tier List
This healer Tier Tier List takes into account the healing potential, damage, group utility, and survivability. Each healer has their pros and cons, but overall some healers are pulling ahead of others and bringing more to both mythic plus and raids.
Restoration Druid:
With the talent tree revamp, restoration druid remains the king of healing over time and has a wild amount of healing power, and some of the best healer utility. Easily making them the best healers at the start of the expansion. And the reason we ranked them at the top of our WoW Dragonflight Healer Tier List.
It takes a lot to bring a restoration druid to their knees. With a huge range of both single target and AoE heal over time, druids can easily keep the entire party near max health. Spells like Wild Growth and Efflorescence keep HoTs spread across the party.
In panic moments restoration druids now also have great healing power, with Tranquillity and Swiftmend. Not only this, but druids are bringing probably one of the greatest buffs in the form of a versatility increase Mark of the Wild. The only downside or potential issue with a druid is how it deals damage, changing forms or jumping in to attack in cat form can throw off a lot of new healers, so bear that in mind.
Preservation Evoker:
Another shapeshifting healer with great mobility heals over time and group utility, the new healer is coming out strong with an amazing healing toolkit. The things that make Druid sit on the top spot in Dragonflight are the same things that make Preservation Evoker so strong. I think both Resto Druid and Preservation Evoker take good skill to master and could easier fight each other for a top healer.
Emerald Blossom their ground AoE, Dream Flight, Spiritbloom, and Dream Breath give them great area healing coverage, on top of their other heals. Where they may lack in direct healing, they make up for in sheer utility and damage.
Preservation Evokers put out huge damage, picking up talents to buff their Fire Breath, coined with Rewind and Rescue. You will easily see Evokers flying around flying and dashing around the room dealing fire damage, rescuing teammates, and laying down huge heals. A unique and fun class that if mastered can turn the tide of mythic plus. Which is why they had to be near the top of our WoW Dragonflight Healer Tier List.
Holy Paladin:
Paladins have so much potential but often find themselves feeling underwhelming as most of their toolkit relies on awkward positioning and crucial burst windows. Our WoW Dragonflight healer list would have had Paladins much lower if it wasn’t for the recent changes.
With the talent tree revamp, holy paladins can pick up certain talents putting them in a great place going into Dragonflight. Paladins have great utility and team buffs but are severely lacking on the DPS front compared to other healers. Makes them perfect in raids for their huge raid-wide buffs, but sometimes lacking in mythic plus where healer damage is needed.
Paladins bring amazing defensive utility to the party. Talent trees bring buffs to their Devotion Aura for defensive bursts. BoP gives protection to party members under fire. There is a big push in the talent tree to increase the power and ability of your Holy Shocks. Overall this class feels fantastic, being up close throwing out heals and damage while protecting your party from the front.
Mistweaver Monk:
Mistweavers bring great healing power, great damage, and great defensive utility. Monks have always had good mobility and buffs, but finally with the new talent trees, can hold their own defensively. Their main downside comes in the same form of paladins and the only thing keeping monks and paladins from the top stop is their positioning needed to maximize healing. Good to note that a skilled monk who has mastered melee fist weaving may top the ranks alongside druids and evokers.
Faeline Stomp provides great AoE healing and damage, combined with Essence Font, and heals over time, monks spend more time doing what they do best, dealing damage and using their other abilities. There are too many beneficial utility talents to pick out of the talent tree, from kicks, stuns, heals, movement abilities, and defensives. Monks do fill the role of support and every group should be happy to have one in Dragonflight.
Discipline Priest:
The final top stop of the A rank goes to Discipline Priest. Towards the end of Shadowlands, the priest was in top form, with their tier set and Shadowlands abilities. But although they aren’t necessarily weaker, other talent trees have brought slightly more to the table. However, discipline seems slightly better than its holy counterpart.
If you ever want to make a friend for life, you just play a priest and cast Power Infusion on them. Giving a single DPS a huge haste buff. So if you pick a priest, get used to the whisper “PI me on phase 2”. Because this buff alone really is that good. Aside from this, they have other icon priest abilities, such as Mass dispel which is incredible for certain affixes. And their overall health buff Power Word: Fortitude. Now both priests have these abilities so why are we ranking discipline above holy in our WoW Dragonflight Healer Tier List?
Damage. Holy priests are slightly lacking in damage, whereas discipline deals damage to heal. Giving them huge bursts of damage while still keeping their party alive. If you’re willing to give up holy priests’ huge healing power for some great damage, discipline is looking like an incredibly balanced class going into the expansion. Easily making it one of the best WoW Dragonflight healers.
