How to make Extracts - Fractured Online
Fractured Online is a sandbox MMO game that has many systems but these systems can also be confusing for new players, in this guide, we will cover how to make extracts.
What are Extracts?
Extracts are used in crafting, they are important to use for tier 2 gear. Extracts create tier sets and add properties to gear and equipment for additional bonuses like additional damage or elemental resistance.
Aspects are useful for every build such as Archery or Mage builds, as this will make your class much stronger.
Crafting Extracts
In Fractured Online you will need both a Distillery and a Aspects Extractor to be able to craft your own Extracts. You will also need to collect crystals and other items that can be found in the open world that will provide power aspects, such as monster drops or collectibles.
Crystals
There are six different types of crystals that can be collected in Fractured Online, this is then made into oil to start the process of crafting your own Extracts.
Each crystal has 6 or 7 extractable aspects, so you may need two different types of crystals to get all of the aspects you need for your gear set or to add properties to materials.
Distillery
The Distillery is used to process the crystals into oil, once you have built or accessed the distillery in Fractured Online you are then able to view what crystal can provide which extract. For example, the purple crystals provide Shadium Oil which can then be used to create, Soul, Negate, Air, Death, Chaos, and Time extracts.
Power Aspects
When you hover over an item there will be a pop-up showing what that item is, some items will have power aspects near the bottom along with filled circles. The filled circles indicate how many of that power aspect the item holds which can then be used in the Aspects Extractor to make the extract bottles.
These can have multiple of different extracts or many of the same type, for example, 4 Order and 1 of each Soul and Time.
Aspects Extractor
The Aspects Extractor is used to create the bottle of extracts, first place your oil in the center slot and then on the right side of the window, you will have all of the power aspect options. The right side is determined by what type of oil is placed inside the Aspects Extractor.
Then you can place your items that hold the power aspects into the other slots to create the power aspect you are looking for. The amount of bars each item will fill on the right is determined on how many of the filled circles the item has in the power aspects slot.
Once you have the full bar of an extract filled to 10, you can then press the extract button and obtain 2 bottles of that extract you have made.
Do you need to collect every crystal in Fractured?
No, each crystal has different extracts and they do overlap each other, for example, both the Yellow and the Purple crystals can make Negate Extract.
Are there bonuses to using Extracts?
Yes, using extracts can increase your spell damage, physical damage. They can also increase defensives such as just plan armour or even specific resistances like cold and poison.
Is it worth using Extracts?
With Fractured Online you will not lose your equipped gear when you die, as long as you are not a red player or have negative karma. So you can keep a hold of this gear with the extracts on as they will make your character stronger.
Can you complete multiple aspects for one bottle?
No, you cannot use the Aspects Extractor to create different aspects with the same bottle. For example, if you had both Order and Transfer filled to 10, you will only get the aspect that is first filled.
The remaining aspect points will disappear once the extract is made.
