Race
There is no “Best” race in fractured online due to how the karma system works. Technique making a wildfolk or demon will give you the greatest int , and therefore the largest damage bonus. However you are bound by karma on those 2 characters, whereas the human has the freedom to be good, evil or neutral. We’ll be showing human for this build as its the most popular and is allowed to pvp freely in Fractured Online, but this build works on all races.
Mage Stats and Attributes
For a Fractured Online Mage Build, you want to make you pick the right stats, to deal large damage, have a big enough mana pool and still have enough hp to handle if monsters or players get close enough to you. Therefore you should maximise your INT, CON and the spread the rest between PER and WIS. If you want more healing and more mana, spend more points in wisdom, if you want more accuracy and crit, spend more in perception.

You have 3 options available to you in a Fractured Online Mage Build:
- Pyromancer
- Cryomancer
- Aeromancer
The choice isn’t too important, because you can learn every spell in the game on one character in Fractured Online. By fighting a monster of a certain element you can learn their spells. So the best choice here is pick the one you find the most fun. For an early start, Pyro (fire) give you very powerful single target abilities, and Cyro (ice) give you some very fun AoE abilities.

Stick To One Spell School – Although you can learn every single spell in the game, you can only select a handful for your loadout at a time. And with these loadouts you should focus on one magic school at a time to maximise the elemental damage bonuses.
Manage Your Mana – A Fractured Online mage will quickly fall off when out of mana, as you need it to heal, teleport away and manage your defences. Consider the cost of each of your spells and make sure you have enough mana to take down an enemy, and if not maybe take a mana potion as one of your hotbar abilities.
Hunt Down Those Elemental Casters – You can learn every spell in the game, but most of them come from elemental casters, so take the time to hunt down enough to learn their spells. There are goblin shamans, bandit mages and even skeletal casters in the graveyard, all with unique spells to learn from different elements.
