Fractured Online Beginners Guide: explaining everything you need to know about this new hardcore PvP MMO. Fractured Online is a punishing game with very little guidance, so lets make sure you have the best start in this new MMORPG. Fractured Online Races And Karma
There are 3 races in Fractured Online, the humans, demons and wild folk. And each race comes with its own skills, stats, starting area and set of rules for PvP. Some races can go evil, where their names becomes red and they can actively PvP anyone they want in the game. Others can be good characters and stop these red players. You can even become a sheriff and help lock these players up in city jails. So lets go over them all here, so you can pick the best race that suits your build and play style.
Humans
Humans in Fractured Online are the jack of all trades class. They gain a base +2 to every stat, so can play as any build, but are not the best at any. If you’re unsure what to play, human is a great starting point.
World: Humans Start on Aerhen, which is a world where PvP is ruled by the karma system. Players can turn red and PvP at will, but good players will stop them and sheriffs will try to jail them. There are lots of easy areas to level up and gain skills on Aerhen and also has some of the largest and busiest cities.
PvP rules: Humans have the choice of free will, meaning they can activity play as any alignment (good, evil or neutral).
Wild Folk
Wild folk are the animal race of Fractured Online and include tigers and deer like sub races. Their subraces give bonuses to Str, Dex and Int playstyles so if you are confident what you want to play, this might be the choice for you. For example the deer subrace gives +3 to int, and a 5% bonus to magic damage. Wild folk are good characters, who can never turn and pvp good players.
World: Wilk Folk Start on Terra, where PvP must be consensual. This is perfect place for a new player as you won’t have to worry about red named (evil) players attacking you. There are some big cities around the centre, lots of special resources for crafting, and lots of housing plots still available.
PvP rules: Wild Folk are good and cannot turn evil. You can still be neutral and PvP other natural characters, and you can go to the human world and PvP red players.
Demons
At the time of writing this Demons are still in development. But when they release they will be fully evil players, so cannot be good. And the demon world is set to have full PvP. This will be a very high risk area to play in, but will likely be very fun once you know how to play.
What To Do in Fractured Online
Fractured Online is a Sandbox MMORPG and it can be very overwhelming working out what to do first once you finish the tutorial and hit the main world. So lets go over some of the best things to do.
- Build a House: A house is a safe place to store lots of items, refine and craft goods and can be used to be near a popular town or near a good farm spot.
- Level up and learn skills: Heading to the question marks on the map is the best thing to do, as these usually include cool enemies that have really useful spells and abilities. Goblins have shamans that teach you powerful magic and totems. Bandits have casters, leaders, healers, archers and more. And then as you head to the yellow and red you have ogres, giants, elementals and more. So this is a great way to progress.
- Learn Crafting: Crafting is a great way to progress your character, letting you fight more challenging enemies and make good gold.

Fractured Online Skills and Builds
This Fractured Online Beginner Guide can’t cover every ability in the game, but I want to talk about how to build your character, what you can do, what you can’t and some things to be aware of.
Stat Points
Every skill in the game is based on a stat. So a sword skill might scale with strength, a fireball will skill with intelligence and then a shot with a bow with perception. So although you can play anything in Fractured Online and there are no classes, you are limited by where you put your skill points. You can respec your points once every week, but try and have an idea of what to play and build it from there.
Talent Tree
Important things to know here are that there are complementary stats, so if you go between strength and constitution there are some great talents and same between intelligence and wisdom. Don’t worry about messing this up as you can move talents around freely at a campfire and can save templates to change whenever you want. How to Learn Skills in Fractured Online
To learn new abilities in Fractured Online you simply have to defeat the enemies that have them. And each enemy has their own unique skills and abilities. Usually you have to get to certain milestones, so maybe every 20% knowledge is a new spell and you might get 5% knowledge per enemy you defeat.
How To Build a House in Fractured Online
So lets go over one the most important things in this Fractured Online Beginners Guide, getting established and building your own house. As a brand new player you can just store your stuff in a town, but having a house lets you how multiple chests and lets you craft all your own items.
Claiming a Plot
Before you build a house, you first have to claim a plot of land, which is simply finding an empty plot and paying 2,000 gold to take ownership of it. You can claim any plot in any location, on any of the worlds, even ones near player towns. The only restriction is that the plot is not already taken, and you have the 2,000 gold to purchase it. You can also only own one plot of land per account.
Building The House
Once you have this, you just deliver the materials to the house and build it up slowly. To speed this up, build a wagon, letting you carry large amounts of stone and wood in one trip. Once the building has been fully complete you can then start building campfires, crafting stations and more.
Fractured Online Crafting Guide
In Fractured Online you can craft weapons and armour and either deal in wood, cloth, leather or metal ingots. But the crafting process is the same, you have refining the raw materials, crafting the item. And then enchanting and imbuing the item, so lets go over it all.
Refining
So first you collect raw materials and refine them. And you need to use specific machines to refine materials, meaning you either need your own house, or use a cities access stations. some cities have these as member only, so you may need to apply to join the city to use them. And then you just process your raw materials, and some are easier than others.
Cloth and silks can be refined on the weaving station and then leathers in the tanning tub. Wood can be turned into boards on the wood refinary, ore can be smelted in the smeltery, so just mine copper or tine and heat it up. Now for the wood you will also need oil and for the ore you will also need coal to heat it, and both of these can be make in a charcoal pit. You just make one of these, burn all the logs and you get charcoal and tar – charcoal goes straight in the smelter, and tar just needs heating into oil on the furnace. Also beware as lots of these refiners take real time to process your goods.
Fractured Online Crafting
Crafting is much easier than refining, its just using your refined materials to make the item. So for a weapon, if you’ve make iron, you go make an iron sword, you’ve made mithril, you go make a mithril sword. And there is no time gating. The only thing to know for crafting quality and tiers.
There is primitive gear first, which you learn in the tutorial, then you can move on to tier 1 and tier 2 gear. And the more you craft something, the better the quality of the gear you make becomes. At first you have a 70% chance to make poor gear and 30% chance to make normal, but the more you craft, these % go up. And eventually once you become an adept crafter you can make the next stage. So you can go from primitive sword to great sword, or from plate armour to knight armour. And these tier 2 items are much harder to make as these need imbuements which we’ll go over too.
Enchanting
Now this isn’t Minecraft, enchanting is very simple. You simply use an enchanting table and add in enchantment dust and gold and you can enchant your weapon or armour into +1, +2 etc, but every single enchant the cost and dust needed increases. Also there is no repairing in Fractured Online, so its often not worth enchanting low level and low quality gear. As you start making tier 2 gear, you can use metals and other materials that give extra durability, so these enchants will make more sense to use.
Inbuing
The final thing to go over in this Fractured Online Beginners Guide is imbuing. All the best refined materials and all tier 2 crafts need these coloured flaks. And this all comes from imbuements. There are 3 parts to this:
Distillery: The first step for good imbuements is the distillery, you need to take your wagon out and find crystals, and then bring them to a distillery, and then you turn them into oils. Oils are basically jars that can hold imbuements and each coloured crystal can be turned into different oils.
Aspect Extractor: Then the hard part is extract imbuements into these oil jars. You need to go the aspect extractor, and almost every item in the game has some sort of stat, destruction, fire choas etc, and these are used to imbue gear or fill an oil jar. If you fill an imbument oil here, you can then use it for these advanced tier 2 crafts or use it to make powerful imbuements on your gear.
Imbuing Table: So then the final step is actually imbuing on the imbuement table, and this is just selecting a piece of gear, choosing an imbuement you want, so more pyromancy damage, or life leech on hit for example and then providing the ingredients either raw items like bones and powders, use these empowered filled oil jars.
