How to get the Quick Draw Rune in Season of Discovery

With the launch of Season of Discovery there are many Runes to find and obtain in WoW Classic, in this post we will go over how to get the Quick Draw Rune in Season of Discovery. This Rune can be obtained in the started zone, Elwynn Forest.

Rogue Pick Pocket

First, you will need to level your Rogue up to level 4 and then unlock Pick Pocket. You can only use Pick Pocket while stealthed so you will also need to learn stealth.

To obtain all of the map pieces to find the Quick Draw Rune, you will need to pick pocket four different types of Humanoids in Elwynn Forest.

Elwynn Forest Map Piece Locations

Once you have obtained all four of the map pieces you will then be able to ‘use’ and combine them together to creature the treasure map which will then lead you to the Quick Draw Rune.

If you continue to pickpocket the same Humanoid you will obtain multiple versions of one of the map pieces.

Top Left Map Piece

The Top Left Map Piece is obtained by pickpocketing Defais Humanoids, these can be found in questing locations. We obtained the map piece from a Defias Bodyguard in Jerod Landing at the Docks.

Top Right Map Piece

To obtain the Top Right Map Piece you will need to pickpocket Kobold Humanoids, these can be found in the mines, Kobold miners and Kobold Geomancers.

Bottom Left Map Piece

The Bottom Left Map Piece is obtained from pickpocketing Gnoll Humanoids, these mobs can be found at the Gnoll camps. Riverpaw Outrunners and Runts.

Bottom Right Map Piece

The Final Bottom Right Map Piece is obtained by pickpocketing Murloc Humanoids, these spawn around Crystal Lake in Elwynn Forest.

Elwynn Treasure Map

Once you have obtained all four of the map pieces you will then need to combine them all together in your inventory. This will then create a Soulbound Elwynn Treasure Map which is specifically for Rogue classes.

The map contains information on where the treasure is and where you will need to go to obtain the Rune.

Treasure location

Ridgepoint Tower is located in the bottom right of Elwynn Forest, there will be a few prowler dens around but if you roam on the west side you will be able to find the tree stump which is directly behind one of the prowler dens.

You will know if you have found the correct location by right-clicking on the Elwynn Treasure Map and you will start to dig up treasure. This can be done by directly standing on top of the tree stump.

After the animation is completed you will then have a buried Treasure appear in front of you, you will then be able to open the chest and obtain the Rune of Quick Draw.
