How to get the Mutilation Rune in Season of Discovery

This post will help provide all the information you need on how to obtain the Mutilation Rune for Rogue in Season of Discovery, this is not a drop from a mob but instead requires pick pocket and stealth.

Cutty's Note

To obtain the Mutilation Rune you will first need to learn the level 4 Rogue skills Stealth and Pick Pocket. Once you have these learned, assign them to your hotbar.

Head over to where Princess spawns in Elwynn Forest. You will then find nearby collectors, we specifically pick pocketed Morgan the Collector and was able to obtain Cutty’s Note which leads us to the Mutilation Rune.

Cutty's Location

After reading Cutty’s Note you will have instructions to go find Cutty.

‘I’ve got the goods. I’ll be hiding up the river from Crystal Lake, near the wall. If you send one of your agents for the pickup, make sure they stay out of sight!’

Cutty is located south of the wall near the mountains and along the river. Cutty will be stealthed and on the East side of the river. Once you interact with Cutty you will be able to hand over Cutty’s Note and he will provide the Rune of Mutilation.
