Lies of P King of Puppets Boss Guide

Lies of P King of Puppets Boss Guide, helping you beat both the King of Puppets and Romeo the King of Puppets. The King of Puppets is a 2 phase boss that begins a large mechanical robot with huge sweeping attacks, who evolves upon beating him. The fight starts immediately after against Romeo the King of Puppets, a small dextrous puppet with very fast attacks. So lets break down both fights in our Lies of P King of Puppets Boss Guide:

Where is the King of Puppets.

The king of puppets is the final boss in the Estella Opera House, a zone in the fifth area of the main story. You can get to the Opera House by progressing the story and opening the door in the Hotel, and you must clear your way through the entire opera house to reach this final boss.

King of Puppets Boss Guide

So here is how to beat the King of Puppets, as fast as possible and survive to see the second phase phase where Romeo enters the fight. Please be aware this a very challenging fight, that is a step up from some of the other bosses, so ensure you have enough health, armour and are leveld for the fight.

Phase 1:

Phase 1 is the start of the fight and is fairly slow paced, this is a slow large boss with a very big hitbox, however he also has great reach.  Here is a summary of the main attacks:

  • Swipe – A sweep across the ground – easily blocked or rolled through
  • Slow smash – a slow wind up smash that is easy to predict and block.
  • Reposition – Boss smashes his hands on the grounds to move to a different spot – move out of the way
  • Rage – Boss inhales and lashes out in both directions – just step away while this goes on

The best strategy for this phase is to block and roll depending on the attacks above. Every single attack in this phase can be predicated and prevented, You want to stay close to the boss for everything but the rage here, as it is all very easily prevented.

If you have a slow heavy weapon, you should focus on only getting in one light attack between his moves. The gap between his moves is very small, so just do a quick light attack. Characters with fast weapons can get a couple of hits in. If you’re still not sure what class to play or what build to play, check out guide for the Lies of P best starting class.

Phase 2:

Phase 2 begins about half way through and starts with the king of puppets repositioning across the arena. And he will perform the same attacks as phase 1 with these additional ones:

  • Electric circle – A huge circle of electric current – stay indide and under the boss to take no daamge.
  • blast back – a close range fan will blow you back.
  • turret – The boss will start shooting into the distance – you can just attack through this.

The best strategy here is to position yourself either close or away from the boss. You want to stay in close for the electric circle and the turret, and then stay at range for blast back and rage. By staying in the right place you can take virtually zero damage here.

There is not much else to this fight, if you can position right, its just a matter of getting the attacks in where you can. The only other tip is to use either an electric legion weapon or or charge your weapon with electric as this does a TON of damage to the King of Puppets. Beating the King of Puppets will start the second boss fight against Romeo.

Romeo King of Puppets Boss Guide:

romeo king of puppets Once you beat the King of Puppets you will start the second fight against Romeo King of Puppets, a much faster and more challenging fight in our opinion. From the very start of this fight Romeo will charge at you at full speed swinging.

So here’s a Romeo King of Puppets Boss guide:

  • 4 hit flurry – 4 fast melee attacks
  • red eye pull – romeos eye will glow red and he will draw you in for a big attack – must be rolled/blocked.
  • Leg Smash – Jumps in the air and smashes the ground – easiest to roll out of this.
  • Charge – Romeo will jump back and then charge in.
  • Fire Flurry – Huge barrage of attacks with a firey weapons.

Its hard to write a Romeo King of Puppets boss guide, because this fight is a complete test of your ability to block and roll. There is no real way to run out, position yourself, as he is extremely aggressive and will close the distance on your as soon as you step away. If you’re struggling with blocking and other mechanics, check out our full Lies of P combat guide video.

You need to be ready to block multiple attacks in quick succession, the worse of all of these are the fire flurry. Around half way through the fight Romeo will set his weapon on fire and do a long chain combo of attacks, that must be blocked or parried.

The only other way to get an advantage on this fight is to return the aggression. Every time you get afew attacks in, Romeo will step back in a daze allowing an extra attack and increasing the stagger meter. So you can make this fight much smaller if you keep him dazed often.
