How to beat Scrapped Watchman in Lies of P, the large electric robot puppet. The scrapped watchmen is a huge and fast boss that you encounter as part of the main story. This is the first boss that has crazy high speed, so if you’re not confident with your blocking and rolling this will test you. So lets go over how to beat Scrapped Watchman in Lies of P.

Where is the Scrapped Watchman

The Scrapped Watchman is located at the centre of Krat City Hall. You must first complete the parade master and unlock the hotel safe area. Then your quest will take you back out into the city, where you will encounter the electric scrapped watchman perched menacingly atop the building.

So here is how to beat Scrapped Watchman in Lies of P, and if you’re not sure what build to play, check out our best starting class in Lies of P guide.

Phase 1

Phase 1 lasts until the boss reaches 50% health, and is probably the biggest shock for most players. The bosses sheer speed in this phase will be alot to overcome. Here is a summary of the main attacks:

Sweep Attack – A sweep across the floor
Double Sweep – A follow up sweep that trails after the first one (optional)
Grab – A very powerful grab attack that will animation lock you and deal huge damage.
Overhead Attack – Large smash that comes from above
Overhead Smash – Powerful smash.

The best strategy for this phase is to to run! This is an extremely fast boss and if you’re not confident with your blocks, you will take a ton of damage here. To start this fight, stay back and study the range and the timing of the main attacks listed above.

Once you have the above moves learned, you want to move in, but keep your distance. Due to the size of the boss, his attacks have a very big hitbox, but once you lands them he has a delay where you can attack. You want to keep far enough back that you can see when he is winding up his arm, or leaning back, so you have time to get in and attack or roll out/block.

Phase 2

Once the bosses health reaches about 50%, become fully electric, adding electric to his main attacks. This doesn’t drastically change the fight, but he will start adding electric nodes to the floor which will damage you. The second phase of the fight will also be faster and the boss will appear more agressive.

How to beat Scrapped Watchman in phase 2 is simple, match his aggression. This isn’t a fight you want to drag out. With the electric damage, the many attacks and the electric floor, your health will drop down very fast. You want dodge/block his moves then get straight in and start laying on the damage, trying to stagger him.

Once you understand the first phase and can predict the attacks, knowing how to beat scrapped watchman is just repeating phase 1, but faster. Do consider your weapon for this fight, as a slow weapon will be much harder given the speed of the boss.
