King's Flame Fuoco Boss Guide

So here is how to beat King’s Flame Fuoco in Lies of P as easy as possible over the 2 phases. Bare in mind some of these attacks are very powerful, so ensure you have sufficient armour, life and levels if you are still struggling after this boss guide.

Phase 1

Phase 1 is the start of the fight, where all of the boss attacks are only melee. This is the easiest part of the fight, but the one where you need to learn the bosses moves the most. Here is a summary of the main attacks:

  • Spin – A powerful spin that comes from the right.
  • Triple Spin – Begins with a basic spin but then follows into 2 more of the same.
  • Charge – A full charge across the room (unblockable)
  • Overhead Attack – Large smash that comes from above
  • Overhead Smash – Powerful smash with lots of range.

The best strategy for this phase is to block. Every single attack in this phase except for the charge can be blocked, so you should prioritise learning to perfect block these attacks. However you’re playing a dex fighter with a low block % weapon, you want to focus on dodging, but try to close to the boss.

Due to the size of the boss its important to look what side its attacks are coming from, as they can be very easily sidestepped. Even King’s Flame Fuoco’s huge red overhead attack can be dodged if you just roll right, as the attack slams on his left. Phase 2

Once the bosses health reaches about 50%, he will charge far away from you, and begin phase 2. This starts with him opening up his metal furnace stomach and setting it alight. This will set fire to about half of the room, so you want to get keep distance from this.

How to beat King’s Flame Fuoco in phase 2 is pretty much the same as phase 1 but with some ranged attacks thrown in. Here are the additional attacks to be aware of:

  • Furnace Fire – Sets himself on fire sending fire in all directions from the boss
  • Fire Shot – Shoots a fireball from his gun weapon
  • Oil Spread – Shoots multiple oil balls that land and stay on the floor.

The only real difficulty in this second fight is the fact that the boss switches between melee, ranged and setting the room on fire. He will try to shoot you with fireballs and spread oil that he can then set alight if you get too far away. But if you get too close the boss might begin another furnace attack and set the room on fire.

So here are 2 tactics that will make this fight so much easier. Firstly, use the large metal pillars. These can block and ranged attack and block the fire produced by the furnace. Whenever the boss goes at range you are invincible behind one of these pillars. However they can be destroyed if he charges at them.

Secondly stay as close to the boss as possible. If you are directly under the boss, his ranged attacks will just go over your head. You should try and position yourself so that you are close to the boss, but also close to a large pillar for when he does a furnace fire.

The only other tips would be to do small quick attacks. If you fail to dodge or block one of Fuoco’s attacks you will receive lots of damage, and some of his attacks are chain attacks, so if run out of stamina you will be in trouble. If you find yourself struggling with the balance between attacks and stamina consider upgrading your weapon or modifying it.
