Level 80 Resistance Relic Weapon Guide - FFXIV Shadowbringers
The Level 80 Resistance Weapons are the Relic weapons from FFXIV Shadowbringers expansion. In this guide we will cover all of the stages to the Resistance Relic Weapon.
Requirements for the Level 80 Resistance Relic Weapon
To unlock the quest chain to obtain the first stage of the Resistance Relic Weapon, players must first reach level 80 on one of their classes and complete the MSQ Shadowbringers.
Players will also have to complete The City of Lost Angels quest.
Resistance Weapon
To obtain the relic weapons, players will need to speak to the NPC Zlatan in Gangos and complete the following quests.
You will require to hand in Thavnairian Scalepowders (250 Allagan Tomestones of Poetics each) to complete the quest for the relic. This item can be obtained at any of the following locations:
Revenant’s Toll – NPC Auriana (22.7, 6.7)
Idyllshire – NPC Hismena (5.8, 5.2)
Augmented Resistance
For the second stage of the Resistance Relic Weapon, players will need to complete the quest given by Zlatan in Gangos called For Want of a Memory.
This will require 20 Tortured Memories of the Dying, 20 Sorrowful Memories of the Dying, and 20 Harrowing Memories of the Dying. To obtain them, you just need to have the quest active, you do not need to be the same job or have the relic weapon equipped.
Tortured Memories can be obtained by:
- Southern Entrenchment in the Bozjan Southern Front
- Sea of Clouds (Fates)
- Coerthas Western Highlands (Fates)
Sorrowful Memories can be obtained by:
- Old Bozja in the Bozjan Southern Front
- Dravanian Forelands (Fates)
- Churning Mists (Fates)
Harrowing Memories can be obtained by:
- The Alermuc Climb in the Bozjan Southern Front
- Azys Lla (Fates)
- Dravanian Hinterlands (Fates)
Recollection
To upgrade the Resistance Relic Weapon to stage 3, you will need to complete the following quest The Will to Resist by handing in 6 Bitter Memories of the Dying.
Bitter Memories can be obtained by:
- Completing Level 60 Dungeons
- Duty Roulette: Leveling (once per day)
- Drop from The Bozjan Southern Front enemies
Law's Order
This next stage of the Resistance Weapon requires you to complete a few more quests, reaching Resistance Rank 10, completing Castrum Lacus Litore, and clearing Delubrum Reginae.
The repeatable quest is Change of Arms, and you will need to turn in 15 Loathsome Memories of the Dying.
Loathsome Memories can be obtained by:
- Castrum Lacus Litore grants 5
- Completing any Crystal Tower Alliance Raid grants 1
- Critical engagements in The Bozjan Southern Front have a chance to grant 1
- Completing Delubrum Reginae grants 1
Before completing this stage of the FFXIV Resistance Relic weapon, you will also need to complete The Resistance Remembers. This quest only needs to be done once and will require you to collect 18 Haunting Memories of the Dying and 18 Vexatious Memories of the Dying.
Haunting Memories can be obtained by:
- Shadow of Mhach Heavensward Alliance raids grant 3
- Gyr Abania region (Fates)
Vexatious Memories can be obtained by:
- Return to Ivalice Stormblood Alliance raids grant 3
- Othard region (Fates)
Augmented Law's Order
To complete the next stage of the FFXIV Resistance Relic Weapon, you will need to complete A New Path of Resistance which will require you to obtain 15 Timeworn Artifacts.
Timeworn Artifacts can be obtained by:
- Palace of the Dead
- Completing Delubrum Reginae will grant 5
Next, you will now be able to complete the second one-time grind that is required to complete your Resistance Relic. The quest name is What Dreams Are Made Of then after completing the quest you will need to pick up all three quests, Spare Parts, Tell me a Story, and A Fond Memory.
Spare Parts will require you to obtain 30 Compact Axles and 30 Compact Springs.
Compact Axles can be obtained by:
- Skirmishes in Zadnor Zone 1 will grant you 1
- Clearing Alexander raids (1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10) will grant you 1
Compact Springs can be obtained by:
- Critical engagements in Zadnor Zone 1 will grant you 2
- Clearing Alexander raids (3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 12) will grant you 1
Tell Me A Story will require you to obtain 30 copies of A Day in the Life: Battles for the Realm and 30 copies of A Day in the Life: Beyond the Rift.
Battles for the Realm can be obtained by:
- Skirmishes in Zadnor Zone 2 will grant 1
- Clearing Omega raids (1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10) will grant 1
Beyond the Rift can be obtained by:
- Critical Engagements in Zadnor Zone 2 will grant 2
- Clearing Omega raids (3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 12) will grant 1
A Fond Memory will require you to obtain 30 Bleak Memories of the Dying and 30 Lucid Memories of the Dying.
Bleak Memories can be obtained by:
- Skirmishes in Zadnor Zone 3 will grant 1
- Clearing Eden raids (1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10) will grant 1
Lucid Memories can be obtained by:
- Critical Engagments in Zadnor Zone 3 will grant 2
- Clearing Eden raids (3,4 7, 8, 11, 12) will grant 1
Blade's
The final step of the FFXIV Resistance Relic Weapons from the Shadowbringers expansion is done by completing the Irresistible quest. This quest requires 15 Raw Emotions.
Raw Emotions can be obtained by:
- Completing The Dalriada from Zadnor will grant 3
- Completing Delubrum Reginae will grant 2
- Level 70 Stormblood Dungeons will grant 1
- A drop from Heaven-on-High
