What are the WoW Dragonflight best addons for Mythic Plus and raiding? Let’s break down the best add-ons to help you be on top of your game and succeed in this challenging group content.
Skada:
Lots of people love the Details damage meter and it’s probably the most robust, but for me, I recently switched to Skada, and it’s such a lightweight, smoother, and easier-to-use damage meter.
This is pretty useful for both tracking your damage and seeing where your big damage is coming from. Skada tracks your damage, healing, interrupts, and more. And if you’re pushing hard content, you can check if everyone in your group is performing well. People can get toxic and pushy with damage meters, but it can be incredibly useful to improve your damage.
Again you can also use it to track buffs, interrupts, and more! Highly recommend some form of damage meter, especially with the new talent trees, try a few builds and you might find some builds doing a lot more damage than others.
BigWigs/LittleWigs:
Big wigs for raids, little wigs for 5-man content. I’ll say here, that an amazing alternative and maybe more popular is Deadly Boss Mods (DMB), so consider either one of these, but you should get one of these Boss addons in my opinion.
Big Wigs will alert you when spells, damage, and phases are changing. It will show rangefinders so you’re not too close to other players if some AOE is going off. BigWigs will just make a confusing fight more clear and you can see things before they happen.
People may argue that addons like this make the game too easy, or take the fun out of the game. But the late game of WoW as we know it assumes we’re using addons and is highly challenging. So I’d highly recommend a mechanic addon like this one or DMB.
Weak Auras:
It would be wrong of me to make a raiding or mythic plus addon list for Dragonflight without adding one of the most popular and most customizable addons there is. Easily one of the WoW Dragonflight’s best add-ons for a lot of people.
Weak Auras are a framework for completely overhauling the UI. Some people use these to completely change their game. You can micro-manage and track everything with weak auras and they have so much use in difficult content.
I use them when I heal, you can set up every single spell and effect in the game individually in weak auras or you can import a pre-set.
Healbot:
On the list of WoW Dragonflight best Addons, this next addon is my number 1 addon for healing.
I actually can’t heal Mythic Plus well without it. Healbot lets you set all your healing spells to buttons and you then click the player’s name to heal them.
So for example; clicking on a name will be a fast single target heal, shift-left click on them for a longer heal. Right-click for a group heal and the middle mouse button for a heal over time. It is a game changer for healing as you just sit there looking at health bars and press the right button at the right time.
You can also set macros and change the buttons around as you need them! As someone who loves healing, healbot is incredible and should improve your healing!
Mythic Dungeon Tools:
If you’re either a tank, a leader, or just want to optimize and learn mythic dungeons, then mythic dungeon tools are great. You can use this to learn enemy positions, and routes, and research enemies and their spells. Plan your affixes and prepare before heading into the dungeon. For anyone seriously into Mythic Plus, this addon may be the best WoW Dragonflight Addon
If we look at one of the newer dungeons, ruby life pools. You can click an enemy and see exactly what they can be influenced by, stuns, fears, cc’s, etc. see what % of the mythic dungeon trash they make up when defeated, and learn more about their abilities.
You can then design your route by literally drawing on the map and pathing out where you want to go. Sites such as Keystone Guru also let people share their routes and you can just import them and see fully optimized routes that you can try yourself.
It’s super useful and I always find myself opening this up tool up for advice.
