World Of Warcraft Dragonflight Roadmap Announced

New Roadmap Announced:

Warcraft Devs have just announced on Twitter and in a corresponding blue post that they have a full 6 part World of Warcraft Dragonflight roadmap planned taking us all the way up to the end of next year.

They plan to deliver “six content patches, fairly evenly spaced, over the course of 2023” This roadmap includes two huge new zones, raids and updates. With new mythic plus and pvp seasons at each major patch. With smaller content patches launching inbetween.

First Patch:

world of warcraft dragonflight Roadmap The first big release we are seeing is coming as early as “winter” so any time in the next few months. Releasing the much anticipated trading post, where World of Warcraft players can earn an exclusive trading post currency for performing daily activities.

The trading post’s emphasis on cosmetics and the revamp to the transmog system show a new direction for WoW, away from player power. There is no plan for new systems like artifacts or torghast, so unless this comes in as a surprise, we may see a whole expansion with no borrowed power.

More Transparency:

Blizzard have always been a little quiet with their audience outsize of major patch releases and bug fixes, so its really nice to be seeing a full roadmap for the new expansion. No only does this give players hope and something to look forward to, it will help keep the developers on a planned schedule.

Failing to meet the roadmap could lead to issues with shareholders and upsetting subscribers. So hopefully with such a detailed World of Warcraft Dragonflight roadmap we won’t see repeats of expansions like Warlords of Dreanor or Shadowlands where major content was cut from the expansion.
