Tamer Action Skills Explained Mortal Online 2
This is a guide for Tamer Skills Explained in Mortal Online 2. Tamer is a build focused on taming creatures and there are a few different Action Skills that can be quite helpful for Tamers, here is a list of what they are, what they do and how to obtain them.
Domestication
Skill Type: Secondary
Domestication is the parent skill for all of the skills in this list, as it is a secondary it requires none of your limited action points to level up. This is the first skill you will level as a tamer in Mortal Online 2.
How to learn Domestication
This Action Skill can be learned from a book that can be found at any Common Librarian in any city, for 10 Silver.
How to level Domestication
Leveling Domestication is fairly simple as all of the below skills are in this skill tree so performing any of them will increase the points for Domestication.
Animal Care
Skill Type: Primary
Having actions points into Animal Care will allow your pets to passively level faster than the normal rate. This skill is great if you are looking to keep and level combat pets as this will make the leveling process a lot faster. It is also great if you are looking to tame and sell horses as you can sell your horses at a higher level.
How to learn Animal Care
The Animal Care book can only be obtained from the Jungle Camp for 75 Gold. However, this can be found on the Trade Broker if others decide to sell this book.
How to level Animal Care
If you are looking to get into Animal Care, this also goes great with Herding as you can have multiple pets out at the same time, if you have more pets out that are leveling together, the faster your Animal Care Action Skill will level up.
Veterinary
Skill Type: Primary
Veterinary action skill affects how much you can heal your pets when it comes to bandaging them. You will be able to heal your pets for roughly 20-40HP.
How to learn Veterinary
To learn the Veterinary Action Skill you will be able to find the book at any common librarian for 5 Gold.
How to level Veterinary
With the Veterinary book, this can be level up to 70. If you are looking to level your veterinary skill up further you can level this by bandaging, and healing, your pets.
A higher veterinary skill will add additional healing to your pet by 0-10% of the pet’s max HP.
Beast Mastery
Skill Type: Primary
Beast Mastery is fairly new to Mortal Online 2, having this skill will open up all of the optional Beast Influences that you can choose from which will grant you access to special attacks and interactions with your pets.
The attacks will cost Focus which is a new bar that appears under the health and stamina bars of each pet in the game.
How to learn Beast Mastery
To obtain the Beast Mastery Book, you can find this at the Librarian in the Jungle Camp for 25 Gold.
How to level Beast Mastery
Having the Beast Mastery Book will level you up to 75, and having pets active will passively level your Beast Mastery Action Skill over time,
Beast Influence
Skill Type: Secondary
With Beast Influence this skill tree gets separated into 8 skill trees which divide up by the animal/creature type that you are looking to tame.
To unlock the abilities of each creature it will require you to obtain the Beast Mastery book, then the influence type book, and then the specific creature influence to be able to use the skills and abilities that the creature can do.
How to learn Beast Influence
As Beast Influence was recently added to Mortal Online 2, it can be quite difficult to come across these books, they usually are found in satchels or drops from mobs, and bosses around the map.
Another way you can obtain these books is from any trade broker. However, because of how rare these books are, they can sometimes be put on at a high price.
How to level Beast Influence
It is not fully confirmed how to level the Beast Influence up, due to the books being extremely rare to come across, however, they usually level your skill to roughly 70.
Another way to level beast influence could be by using the skills that you have recently unlocked for that creature, these skills can be found in the pet window under the pet commands.
Creature Control
Skill Type: Primary
If you are looking to have any pets, you will need this Action Skill. It is the most important Action Skill when it comes to owning pets and taming animals.
This is because when leveling your Creature Control you will acquire more Pet Points, if you are looking to have multiple pets out at once or higher level pets then you need more Pet Points. Getting Creature Control to 100 will grant you 75 pet points in total.
How to learn Creature Control
Creature Control can be learned from any common librarian that can be found in all cities. The book costs 2 Gold and 50 Silver.
How to level Creature Control
When it comes to leveling creature control, you can do this by having your pets level up, this can also be leveled from the other skills in this skill tree, Advanced Creature Control and Herding.
Advanced Creature Control
Skill Type: Primary
With Advanced Creature Control you can control more pets or higher-level pets. This gives you more Pet Points. Creature Control will grant you 75 pet points in total once it is maxed out to 100. Advanced Creature Control will grant you the extra 25 pet points so you can have up to 100 pet points altogether with both maxed.
How to learn Advanced Creature Control
If you are looking to obtain the book yourself to learn Advanced Creature Control, this will require you to head to the Jungle Camp which can be located South East of the map. Find the Jungle Camp on the Mortal Online Map.
This book will cost 65 Gold at the librarian in the Jungle Camp. This book may also sometimes be available on the Trade Broker in other cities but may sell for a lot more gold.
How to level Advanced Creature Control
Leveling Advanced Creature Control is similar to leveling the first Creature Control, having pets, and leveling them up will give you experience points. After obtaining the Advanced Creature Control book this will take you up to level 70.
Herding
Skill Type: Primary
If you are looking to tame multiple pets at once, have multiple combat pets, or make money by taming a lot of horses. You will need this Herding Action Skill. After having a second pet out with you, your maximum pet points get reduced by 20. What Herding does is reduce that penalty.
For example, if you have 60 Pet Points, and you are currently using 23/60 of those pet points and want to tame another creature, your maximum pet points will reduce to 40 after taming that second creature.
How to learn Herding
Similar to the Advanced Creature Control book, the Herding book can only be obtained from the Jungle Camp, the book costs 5 Gold. It is also tradeable so you may be able to find the Herding Book on a trade broker.
How to level Herding
Leveling Herding is fairly simple. If you have multiple pets out at once, this will level your herding action skill. The more pets you have out, the faster herding will level.
When deciding how many action skill points you want to use in this skill, the maximum penalty reduction you can do is by 10 points. So once you reach level 91 Herding, the penalty of having another pet will go down to 10 instead of 20.
Taming
Skill type: Primary
The Taming Skill is required if you chose to go out into the open world and tame animals. This skill is not required if you are looking to buy your pets or get a basic combat pet or horse. However, the Taming Skill is a great way to tame horses to sell at the stable for gold.
How to learn Taming
Taming can be bought as a book from any common librarian in any city for 2 Gold and 50 Silver.
How to level Taming
When leveling your taming skill, the taming circle is split into quarters and after the first quarter, you will start earning taming experience, unless the animal advises that it is too low of a level for you to acquire any experience.
