Leveling Tames in Mortal Online 2 can be quite time-consuming and tedious, here is a list of everything you need to know to make the leveling experience faster and smoother.
Ways to level your tames in Mortal Online 2
Here are a few different ways to level your tamed creatures and pets in Mortal Online 2. Keep in mind, if you are dominating a creature, this creature cannot be leveled.
Training Dummy
Training Dummies are a popular option for leveling as these are found in every city which is also a safe zone, protecting your tame while it slowly levels overtime on the training dummy.
Simply use the ‘pet attack’ option in the pet window onto the target dummy and your creature will not move from that spot and get experience overtime to level up. You can have this going while you are away or doing other things in the town, as long as you don’t forget to keep feeding them.
Attack NPC
Some animals will obtain more experience per tick if they are in an aggressive and attack stance which can only be done if it is targeted at some other NPC in the game.
You will usually obtain 100~ experience per tick but when doing this, you will start to obtain 400~ per tick. Which makes the level experience a lot faster.
Farming Mobs
All tames will gain a small amount of experience per tick over time, but if you are looking for a more active way to level your tames then you can always take your pet out with you while you go farm at a mob location.
Which leveling method should I use?
It really depends on what type of creature you are leveling, some creatures in Mortal Online 2 will have an aggressive stance which is only activated when they are targetting an NPC rather than a target dummy. Therefore if you are using a target dummy then this can make the leveling experience longer and miss out on lots of experience.
Animal Care
Animal Care is very important if you are looking to level a lot of tames in Mortal Online 2. What Animal Care does, is it will lower the number of seconds between each tick or experience.
There is 10 seconds between every tick of experience, but when maxing Animal Care to 100 Action Points, this will lower the 10 seconds to 6 seconds. Therefore your tame will be receiving experience every 6 seconds instead of every 10 seconds.
Zoology and Animal Lore
Zoology are profession skills in Mortal Online 2, the first section of the tree are primary points but then they split off into secondaries. For tamers and beastmasters looking to level their tames, this can be extremely important as increasing your Zoology for that animal will increase your taming chances, lower the number of pet points required for that creature, and a few more extra perks if you are looking to cook or butcher the animal.
When Zoology is leveled, this means that the amount of pet points to hold that creature will be lowered. Therefore this is great if you are looking to level creatures to max level or their final stage at level 101, it is also great if you are wanting to have multiple pets at the same time for fighting or leveling.
Leveling Zoology and Animal Lore
Here are two ways to level your Zoology animal lore in Mortal Online 2. The first one you will have access to is butchering, killing, and butchering the animal you are looking to level your animal lore for, which will grant you a lot of experience.
Another way is by cooking the carcass of the animal, instead of butchering it. However, you will need to level cooking past level 33 to be able to use two slots in the cooking UI. The higher quality of the cooking, the more experience you will obtain in Zoology.
A good way to level this is with a cooking pot, 10,000 water with 1,000 of the carcass of the animal you wish to obtain animal lore on.
