Death Breakdown in Mortal Online 2

Mortal Online Death and Loot

Full Loot drops on death

When you die in Mortal Online 2, your loot will drop on the ground in a form of a bag with your character name on it.

This bag will contain your armour, weapons, and anything else that was in your inventory at the time.

Are there items that you don't lose?

Yes, there are a few specific items that will not drop and they are actually bound to your character, you cannot lose these items unless you chose to take them off or destroy them.

These items are the book you are currently reading, any accessories that are currently equipped, and a cape you may also have equipped. However, accessories are different from these other items as they contain charges, an accessory needs to have at least one charge to use the effect it contains. Upon death, accessories lose charges

There are also some very specific items that you may have in your inventory that will not drop upon death, this includes your starter sword you are given when you first load into the game, your map of Myrland, and also your spell book if you chose to go down the mage route.

Who can take my items?

Your loot will be available to everyone, however, they will need to turn criminal actions on to be able to take your items. If they do choose to take any of your items then they will be marked as ‘stolen‘ and the player will be marked as a criminal for a short period of time.

Mortal Online 2 Resurrecting upon Death

The Etherworld in Mortal Online 2

Once your character dies in Mortal Online 2, your spirit will enter the Etherworld. In the Etherworld, you can see other spirits, but not other players’ physical forms. To leave the Etherworld you will need to find a priest or a mage player with the resurrecting spell.

Priests and teleporting

Priests are your main way to resurrect upon death in Mortal Online 2. They are located in every town/city and some can be found in the open world. They appear as a red beacon.

Locate all priests on the Continent of Myrland map

If you’d like to teleport to a priest do the following:

  1. Navigate to your character Menu (default keybind ‘C’)
  2. Under your character model there are two options ‘Priest‘ and ‘Home
    • The ‘Priest‘ option will teleport you to the nearest priest
    • The ‘Home‘ option will teleport you to the priest that you set as your home priest

What does a home priest do in Mortal Online 2?

A home priest in Mortal Online 2 allows you to teleport to that specific priest under the ‘Home‘ option. This is quite useful if you decide you would like to have a specific town or city your main location with the majority or all of your loot you have collected.

To set a priest at your home priest simply:

  1. Find the priest in that town/city
  2. Walk up to the priest till you see the prompt ‘Hold R to set priest as home‘
  3. Hold R until the circle has completed and now that priest is set as your home priest

Can you resurrect without a priest?

Yes, there is a way to resurrect without a priest in Mortal Online 2. However, you cannot resurrect yourself, this requires another player.

More specifically this needs to be a Mage who can create a Etherworld portal, a resurrection spell
