You can't change your build
Lots of people just make a character that they like the look off, but in mortal online 2 character builds are so much more important. Characters with low strength can’t wield strong weapons or bows. Low intelligence characters will struggle to cast spells or even read.
On top of this certain parts of your build like your race and height can never be changed. You cannot create multiple characters and must delete your current character to make another. The key things that impact and limit your character are not what you might expect:
- Size/height – smaller sizes have lower strength.
- Race – determines the talent tree and hugely impacts your builds.
- Weight – impacts strength, speed and intelligence.
Crafting and Action Skills:
Crafting and action skills in mortal online 2 have a limit, you can only level a certain number of skills.
- You can have a maximum of 1,100 action skill points
- Maximum of 1,200 crafting skill points.
- Each skill or craft can be maxed to level 100. So 100 points
- Skills can be leveled up and leveled down.
Due to the limit of skills, you can’t learn every single skill. However because you can “unlevel” a skill just by clicking a button, there is no risk to learning new skills. Just know you can only master a few skills.
For example if you want to be me a mage, you should master vitalism, for mana regen(100 points), mental training for magic (100 points) and then every school of magic you master is a further 100 points. Similarly if you want to be a knight, you would need; blocking, weapon, armour, heavy armour, combat, bandaging and other skills. easily coming to over 500 points.
There is nothing wrong with being a hybrid, an archer who puts points into taming and healing. But certain skills complement others. So our advice in this Mortal Online 2 Beginners Guide would be to have a good idea of what you want your character to do and pick up enough skills to make it.
Making Gold in Mortal Online 2
Making gold in Mortal Online 2 is incredible hard as a new player. Just leaving the town can be a risk. And getting those precious goods back to the town might lead to you being attacked by players or animals. But once you can earn gold, you can buy so many things that make your life easier. So as part of this Mortal Online 2 beginners guide we’ll break down a simple gold making guide:
- Farm pigs or graveyard or gather and sell until you have 5-6 gold.
- 5 gold – buy a horse from the stable
- 0.5 gold buy a horse bag from the trade vendor (or craft with leather)
- take your horse to the graveyard in either fabenum and start killing the walking dead.
- loot everything, butcher it and put it on the horse
- Repeat this until your horse storage is full. With a basic bag horses can carry 600kg.
- Go back to town and to the utility vendor. Sell all for 5-7 gold.
- Repeat, buy yourself better weapons/books to make this faster.
You can do this with pigs and sell their leather or other mobs, but the graveyard walking dead are really easy and close to town. Once you master a basic money making route, you can easily work yourself up to better things. You can do this for an hour, get better gear and go hunt bandits or stronger enemies for more money.
Always Read Books
Before you can start leveling some skills you need to learn the actual skill from a skill book. Although some trainers will teach a skill most come from books. Once you’ve learned the book, you can then level the skill yourself.
The first book you should buy in the library (located in the north of Fabenum) is the “reading” skill book. This makes reading other books significantly faster.
Books must be read in real time passively, while online and offline. Some can take up to 100 hours and can only be sped up with the reading skill and by your intelligence, therefore starting with the reading skill is super important. After this start picking any books which unlock new skills you need for your build and then work on lesser ones after.
Beware of other players
Mortal Online 2 is a full loot PvP game with a criminal system. Therefore expect lots of people trying to kill you on sight for your loot and gold. As a new player, you’re an easy target as you’ll have bad armour, weapons and skills.
Its fine to make friends and chat to people in guarded areas, but try to avoid running into people outside the city until you can protect yourself. If you want to farm pigs, or mine, rather than going to the ones directly out of the city, take a walk a little further to a more secluded area and then sprint or gallop back when you’re done.
