ESO Necrom will feature an all new zone fitting of the Morrowind games. If you’ve ever played Elder Scrolls Morrowind, you’ll be familiar with the towering mushrooms and overgrown dark swamp vibes. You’ll be able to explore this entire zone, including icon locations such as the endless library of the daedric prince of knowledge; Hermaeus Mora.

Who is Hermaeus Mora?

Lots of this expansion will be featured around the Deadic prince of knowledge and Memory, Hermaeus Mora. Often pictured as a large mass of tentacles, darkness and mass circling a green eye.

The prince of knowledge also known as the demon of knowledge has been known to take on multiple lovecraftian forms, such as a being made of tentacles or simple a collection of eyes. Either way this demon will stop at nothing to obtain all the knowledge it seeks.

What is Apocrypha?

Hermaeus Mora the deadric prince of knowledge has his own realm of Oblivion called the Apocrypha. This realm contains all forbidden knowledge, an endless library that continues forever. Each book is unnamed within a blank black cover and the dead will realm this library forever looking for the knowledge they desire.

New PvE Content - Trial and World Event

Necrom will feature two new PvE experiences for players, in the form of a new trial and new world event:

New Trial: Sanity’s Edge will be a 12 player trail heading into the mind of mages guild member and saving them. We could assume that this dark and looming threat could be from the demon of knowledge himself, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

World Event: Oblivion Raids In ESO Necrom you’ll be able to open portals to Oblivion and fight off invaders attacking the lord of knowledges citadel.

Overall this expansion looks so dark and exciting and is an absolute treat to any Elder Scrolls Morrowing lovers! We hope you’re as excited for ESO Necrom as we are!
