How to increase Weight Limit in Black Desert Online
In this guide, we are going to cover all of the ways on how to increase Weight Limit in Black Desert Online.
Strength Experience - What is Strength Level?
All of your characters have a strength level, which can be viewed under ‘My information‘, this default key bind for this is ‘P’. On the right side of the UI, you have two swords and a scythe. Under the two swords is your Battle Stats, which also include your character’s fitness and ability levels.
Your fitness section is where you can find your Strength Level, the higher the level of your strength, the more weight limit you have. Therefore leveling up your Strength is a good way to increase your Weight Limit.
How to get Strength Experience?
There are a couple of different ways to obtain Strength Experience. Since Black Desert does give out free items, you may come across ‘juices‘ sometimes these can come in packs of three, these give you Breath, Strength, and Health experience.
The main way to obtain Strength Experience is by using Trade Packs.
- Find a trade NPC in a town or city.
- Buy 1 item, preferably the cheapest item.
- This then gives your character a Trade Pack.
- Every 10 seconds of moving, will increase your Strength Experience.
Pearl Weight Limit Increase Items
Black Desert does also have a pearl shop which can be accessed by ‘F3’ with the default keybind.
Navigating to the ‘Function‘ Section, there is a sub-section ‘Weight‘ which includes all of the pearl items that you can use to increase your character’s weight.
Another thing that the Pearl shop has are Pets. These pets can give your character special bonuses while active.
The pet that gives bonus Weight is the Polar Bear pet. However, the polar bear is an event pet and is currently not available. If you are interested in obtaining this pet, we recommend on keeping track of the events to see if the polar bear becomes available again.
Loyalty Weight Limit Increase Items
There is a part of the Pearl Shop that doesn’t require actual Pearls, and instead uses Loaylties. Loyalties can be obtained over time from Black Desert login rewards or you can also obtain them from events and achievements in the Challenge Log UI.
The Loyalty Weight Limit Increase for your Character is limited to only 4 purchases per character. However, Black Desert does sometimes reset these, this could be due to an event or a monthly/yearly reset.
Increasing Weight Limit with Gear
When it comes to increasing your weight limit with gear, there are a few different items that can do this.
- Most belts in the game can increase your weight limit, PVE, PVP, and also life skilling belts.
- If you are purely looking for life-skilling gear that gives weight limit, we recommend the Silver Embroidered Trader’s Clothes.
- Gear pieces can also come with crystal slots, if you are happy with your gear but want to find another way to increase your weight limit, check out the market board for crystals. Some crystals will give extra weight.
Black Desert Weight Limit Buffs
Black Desert does provide many buffs for life skilling, combat experience, and skill point experience, but there are some buffs that do increase your weight limit for a certain amount of time. This can be super helpful while you are life skilling, holding a bulk amount of materials for cooking or processing, or just gathering a certain material like meat.
Food Buffs
One of the buffs you can use is food buffs, you can obtain food by just logging into Black Desert as the game can give you bundles of food from login rewards and event rewards.
The most common life-skilling food buff you may come across is the Seafood Cron Meal. Many of the foods from Black Desert will give you a list of effects so it is possible you may skip over the Weight Limit increase buffs.
Elixir Buffs
Similar to the food buffs, you can also obtain functional elixirs and potions that will give you extra weight limit. One of the biggest life-skilling elixirs being ‘Vendure Draught‘ which gives an extra +200LT for 15 minutes.
Alchemy Stones
A final buff that can be used to increase your weight limit is the alchemy stones. Alchemy stones give different buffs and bonuses which can help with battle stats, experience, and some actually do give weight.
Navigate to the central market and you can view all alchemy stones and hover over them to see which ones can provide additional weight.
